About

FullSizeRenderHeather McLean is the owner and principal landscape designer at Goodness Grows in Austin, located in Austin, Texas. A traditionally trained landscape painter, she utilizes her unique vision and artistic ability to transform common situations into beautiful and sustainable garden environments. She began her career participating in the restoration of the grounds at Bullock Hall in Roswell Georgia, and was part of the team that achieved a national historical designation. Her combined interests in art and history have given her a unique design perspective. She truly has an artist’s eye, and now paints the world in three dimensions.

McLean is a recognized member of the Green Honor Roll at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and is also designated by the City of Austin as a Grow Green Landscape Professional. McLean feels it is her life mission to reconnect others with the healing energy of nature through the practice of gardening. During decades of transforming gardens, she has witnessed profound changes occurring in the lives of her clients. By opening up to the beauty of nature, many of them find a more peaceful space in their hearts.
